La Boda...
So the past 3 days i´ve been lying in bed deathly sick, so sorry to those i haven´t e-mailed in a while I just haven´t felt up to it. Nobody knows what it is either, a crazy spanish flu or something...anyways i´m feeling a bit better today, it seems to have just turned into a cold, so i thought i´d post. So i didn´t really talk about the wedding at all before, it was pretty different. It was held in a catholic church in Guadalajara (20 min. outside Madrid) and the bride was walked down the isle by her father, but there was no wedding party. There were alot of musical intervals sung by a lil´choir off to the side (who unfortunately weren´t very good - I like to call them "The lil´choir who couldn´t" :P) and i don´t think the bride and groom exchanged vowes, I was at the back of this huge church so i couldn´t really see or hear very well, cuz Spanish families are huge right (wow did I ever meet alot of family!), so there were a ton of people there, and there was a ton of talking! I thought that was soo rude! I told my host sister i´d dis-own her as a sister if she talked during my wedding (it´s ok she knows me well enough now not to be scared...) No but it was really rude, it´s not like ppl were trying to be quiet about it, very strange. Anyways the ceremony was pretty long and at the end the bride and groom didn´t walk back down the isle, ppl gave kisses to the others next to them then got up and walked out of the church. We waited for the bride and groom to come out of the church and then left for dinner. The place we went to for dinner was gorgeous! It was in the middle of nowhere and had a large patio outfront where everyone in their fancy clothes met up, chatted, and had hor dóeuvres before we went inside for dinner. Very picturesque! After our like 5-course meal there was drinking, smoking (cigars included), and dancing. I liked it when english music came on so i could sing along! P.S) Shakira is huge here!!!
